Katie Bates Named Associate Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America

Atlanta attorney Katie Bates, of the law firm Meunier Carlin & Curfman LLC, has been selected as an Associate Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Katie brings a depth of experience in copyright, patent, and trade secret disputes to the firm, along with her growing practice in cybersecurity and privacy matters.  Katie’s ability to truly listen to her clients; cut to the heart of the matter; and skillfully communicate complex concepts and information to clients, juries, and courts has made her a trusted advisor―from the start of her career as a performance auditor, through her federal clerkships, and into private practice. Before joining Meunier Carlin & Curfman in February of this year, Katie was with an AmLaw 100 firm in Atlanta. She clerked for Judge Joel F. Dubina of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and earlier interned for Judge William S. Duffey of the Northern District of Georgia.  Katie has litigated cases throughout the United States and established herself as skilled advocate for clients involved in high-stakes intellectual property disputes.  

Katie also is active in the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, where she serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors; the Coralwood Foundation, where she is a Board Member; and is the Copyright Chair of the IP Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
